Kaolin for thermal paper
We create chemistry that makes mines love reclamation
Whether filling your car's gas tank at the local station, receiving a bank statement or buying a ski lift ticket, thermal reactive paper is used to generate a printed receipt, statement, or copy. BASF thermal paper grades provide a high level of surface smoothness and wax absorption, which are highly desirable for producing a quality print. Because at BASF, we create chemistry for a sustainable future.
Products & Families
Premium brightness calcined kaolin
Ansilex® 93 calcined kaolin has high brightness with fine particle size. The unique coating morphology (bulk and porosity) generated by Ansilex® 93 enhances aesthetics and printability. It is ideal for improving opacity, brightness, smoothness, ink receptivity, blister resistance, glueability, binder migration and printability. As a paper filler, Ansilex® 93 imparts cost-effective opacity and brightness in wood free and mechanical pulp furnishes.
